Carols in the Park returns for 2025 on Sunday evening in Carberry Park from 6pm. Be sure to not miss this family friendly community event.
This event is one of Gundagai’s most loved community traditions, bringing families, friends, and visitors together for a relaxed and joyful evening under the summer sky. This free event captures the true spirit of Christmas with live music, festive cheer, and a warm community atmosphere.
Peggy Elliott from the Gundagai Neighbourhood Centre said the event will be a lovely evening for the community.
“We will have the Community Choir leading the Carols with some other guest appearances. There will also be lots of free food and drinks. The Lions Club will be providing the BBQ, the Youth Council will be providing popcorn, the Neighbourhood Centre will be doing snow cones, and the CWA will be doing drinks. We will also have free candles, choir booklets and glow sticks,” said Peggy.
Steve Maynard is organising the singers and currently the musical program features performances by talented local artists Riley Lott and Micha Glazebrook, who will take to the stage to share a mix of classic and modern carols as well as the Gundagai Community Choir who will be leading the carols.
Families are encouraged to bring picnic rugs, chairs, and their best singing voices to join in.
“Santa will be making an appearance and there will be lots of Christmas photo opportunities, with lots of different things around for people to take Christmas themed photos,” said Peggy.
As the sun sets, the park transforms into a magical gathering placefilled with laughter, and the sounds of Christmas favourites.
For the Gundagai Neighbourhood Centre, their next event coming up will be the MAWANG Pool Party and then an exciting calendar of events for 2026 starting with International Women’s Day and Senior’s Festival Week.
