The Gundagai Neighbourhood Centre has been around since 1976 and the team at the Neighbourhood Centre plans to celebrate this huge milestone during Neighbourhood Centre Week, which begins on Monday, 11 May.
As part of the celebrations, there will be a special paint and play session which will be held on Tuesday, 12 May as well as the Community Expo on the 15th of May, which will be held at the Gundagai Services Club from 10.00am to 2.00pm.
On Saturday there will be a Party in the Park celebration, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, where participants will be able to enjoy hot dogs, drinks, a cutting of a birthday cake, pony rides, face painting as well as Bush Ballad recitals by Jim Scobie. There will also be a memorabilia display including photos and old meeting minutes.
Ideas are still being finalised, but the team at the Neighbourhood Centre are encouraging anyone who has been involved with the Gundagai Neighbourhood Centre in any way over the last 50 years to come along and celebrate.

Neighbourhood Centre’s Week is a nationwide celebration that celebrates the important role that Neighbourhood Centre’s play in local communities across the nation. This year’s theme is ‘Your Place to Connect’.
