It will be a busy weekend in November, as the Spring Gundagai Producers Markets will be held during the iconic Snake Gully Cup Weekend on Saturday, 15 November, from 9 am to 2 pm at Carberry Park.
This market is the perfect opportunity to soak up the buzz of spring and explore the best local produce, handcrafted goods, and unique creations our region has to offer, while providing an opportunity for local small businesses and creators to showcase their goods and to attract travellers to town off the highway.
Hosted by the team at the Gundagai Visitor Information Centre, the team are excited to host another market for the community to enjoy.
“There will be plenty of people in town for the Snake Gully Cup, so it is the ideal time to enjoy the vibrant community atmosphere, shop local, and be part of a memorable weekend in Gundagai.
“Our November markets are always really busy, and they always turn out to be the best with everyone in town for the Snake Gully Cup.
“So far, we have 14 stalls registered, including a couple of local community groups on board as well as returning stallholders and a few new stallholders such as one travelling from the South Coast to attend. They will be doing Aboriginal art and jewellery, which is really cool,” said Casey Polsen.
The markets will feature a range of goods, including honey, scrunchies, trinkets, local produce, and a food van.
“We will have a mixture of things. The local Men’s Shed will also be bringing down their handmade crafts, as well as CanAssist, who will be doing floral arrangements and garden ornaments, so it will be really good,” said Casey.
“Last year the Anglican Church did the flowers, and this year someone from the Anglican Church is helping CanAssist do it, so it is good that each community group will get a chance at receivingthe money from the flower arrangements,” said Casey.
“We can’t wait to see Carberry Park buzzing with our amazing local makers, growers, and producers once again.”
Applications are still open for another week. Stalls are $20 per site, and stall applications and further information can be found on the Visit Gundagai website.
