Kindergarten students throughout Gundagai and surrounds are enjoying their new schools with students at Gundagai Public School, Brungle Public School and Nangus Public School all settling in well to big school life.
Looking very smart in their new uniforms, the children have spent the last week getting to know their teachers and fellow classmates. 23 new kindergarten students are settling in to their new classroom at Gundagai Public School, with their new teacher Miss Hillier excited to have them on board.
Nangus Public School is excited to welcome one new kindergarten enrolment, and Brungle Public School welcomed two new kindergartens to the school.
Jesse Wheaton, Gundagai Public School Principal said the kinders are settling in well.
“Our 2026 Kindergarten students have officially started school, and what a joy it has been to welcome 23 bright-eyed little learners to Gundagai Public School.”
“They have settled in fantastically, showing confidence, curiosity, and plenty of smiles as they explore all the wonderful things GPS has to offer. A special mention must go to their Year 6 buddies, who have been doing an amazing job helping our Kindergarten students learn new school routines, feel safe and supported, and find their way around big school. It’s been lovely to see these special connections already forming — bonds that will last for years to come.
