Chet Read, winner of Novice Saddle Bronc category and Savannah Kelly, sponsor of the buckle, the event was called the Brayden Worldon memorial novice saddle bronc ride. Savannah and her dad Tony supplied the Rodeo with the novice saddle bronc horses for the rodeo.
Over the weekend, the Gundagai Rodeo and Campdraft Club held the 2025 Rodeo at Gundagai Showgrounds, and it was a huge success.
Dan Lindley, President of the Rodeo and Campdraft Club said it was the best rodeo they have held.
“It looks like it was one of the best rodeos we’ve had for a long time. The weather came in in the morning, but then it turned into a beautiful afternoon. The gate was up, and the crowd was amazing. The locals really supported us and they all came down, and the rodeo was really successful.”
“This year we sold over 1000 gate tickets just on the day, so that is a big number of people through the gate for us. It was one of the biggest ones we‘ve had for a long time,” said Dan.
Dan said the highlights for this year were the mini bull ride and the International Competitors.

“The mini bull ride was a highlight with a few local kids in it, as well as the International competitors. Tom French won the Open Bronc Ride and Toby Duedney won the Bareback Ride, it was really exciting.”
“Another highlight was also the local poddy ride. There were a few kids in there who had never competed in a rodeo before, and they had a great time.”
“We would like to thank the community for their support and our sponsors. We can’t run without the support of the town, and our sponsors have been really generous this year. A lot of new ones came on board this year but also had a lot of our sponsors stay on since last year’s cancellation, so we just really want to thank them,” said Dan.
This year’s major sponsors were Bendigo Bank and Riverina Ford.
