From 13 – 14 February next year, the Gundagai Showgrounds will be the venue for the Gundagai Show, a stellar way to kick off the new year.
The President and Committee of the Gundagai Show invite everyone to the 134th Annual Show, which is sure to be yet another spectacular Show.
The committee said there will be the usual events such as Cattle, Horses, Poultry, Pavilion Exhibits, Yard dogs, Sheep Dog Trials, Show Dogs, Cattle Dog Trials, Vintage cars, Sideshow alleys, and Show Bags.
Schedules are to be advised. They are introducing, for 2026, a special event, the Capital Country Woodchopping.
The committee said, “Get ready for an axe-citing display of strength, skill, and precision as Capital Country Woodchopping will be the Show’s special event at the Gundagai Show. Watch competitors take on the ultimate test of strength, endurance and grit with axes and saws in high-energy woodchopping and sawing events. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the sport, this family-friendly event is sure to impress. Don’t miss this opportunity to see our talented woodchoppers in axe-ion, meet the team, and celebrate this thrilling Aussie tradition.
“Capital Country Woodchopping is the newest association affiliated with the NSW Axemen’s Association, covering the nation’s Capital and surrounding country areas. We pride ourselves on building a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where seasoned and new members are welcome. With specific training available for juniors and women, there’s a place for the whole family.
“We are proud that our showjumping events continue to excel and are, arguably, the best showjumping event in rural NSW and remain very strong with some of the best riders in Australia competing.
