REROC Treasurer and Coolamon Shire General Manager Tony Donoghue, REROC CEO Megan Mulrooney, REROC Project Officer Peter Dale, REROC Chair and Temora Shire Mayor Rick Firman, and REROC’s newly elected Deputy Chair, Cootamundra-Gundagai Mayor Abb McAlister.
The Annual General Meeting of REROC was successfully held in Wagga last month, marking a productive gathering of REROC’s Board members, which saw Mayor Abb McAlister elected as new Deputy Chairman of the REROC Board.
Mayor McAlister said he is privileged to be elected as Deputy Chairman. “We’ve got a great leader in Rick Firman, he is a great man in local government, and he asked me if I would be interested in standing for Deputy Chair, and I said I would be.”
“REROC is a great organisation. It has been going for 31 years now and does a lot for all the councils involved. It is always good to be part of it and to be Deputy Chair, it is a privilege, and to serve under Rick Firman is also a real privilege,” said Mayor McAlister.

The meeting also saw the presentation of a commemorative plaque to Coolamon Shire Council for their extensive contribution to the development of the Riverina region after decades of service as REROC’s Treasurer.
“Coolamon Shire Council have demonstrated an overwhelming commitment to the Riverina by providing financial management services for REROC, free of charge, and additionally manage the Riverina Regional Library Service, ensuring that library services are delivered to regional areas across the Riverina.
