Last Friday’s Fashions on the Field event at Snake Gully Cup was another day of fashion and fun, bringing a good crowd of spectators, entrants and head to toe spring styling.
Renee Lindley, Event Coordinator, said the judges found that this year brought a lot of high-quality and a lot of colour, as well as overall fantastic participation.
“This year there was a lot of high-quality fashion again and a lot of colour again too. There were a lot of well-coordinated outfits, the winners all were immaculately styled, head-to-toe including makeup, hair and accessories – so everyone put in a huge effort.”
“I wouldn’t say it was the biggest number of entrants that we’ve had in the past, but the quality was of a really high standard,” said Renee.
“All the judges mentioned that the winners very much embodied what the day was about. “They wanted to be there and be part of it, they presented really well and they could tell that their outfits reflected their personality. Overall, it was a lot of colour and really well-coordinated outfits,” said Renee.
“The crowd participation was awesome. It has become a really well-known highlight of the day, the audience and the crowd that we get to Fashions now is massive, so it definitely has become part of the whole day and one of the highlights, so a lot of our entrants had their crew of supporters and it was awesome.”
“We had entrants from everywhere, such as Canberra, Sydney, Wagga, Junee – all over, so it was really lovely, as well as our Local Best Dressed category was very much on par with Best Dressed Visitor, so those two were the biggest categories, and the quality in both was outstanding,” said Renee.
