Moeys now offering in house embroidery services

Moeys in Gundagai is now offering in house embroidery services, with the purchase of a brand-new embroidery machine and plans to undertake all types of embroidery projects for the town.

Danika Lewis, Owner of Moeys, said the new business opportunity is exciting for Gundagai.

“This is a new and exciting business opportunity for us in Gundagai. Here at Moeys we are about to launch in house embroidery services, whether the stock is purchased in house or elsewhere.”

“We have had a brand-new machine delivered, undertaken three days of intensive training and the person doing the embroidery has over 20 years’ experience,” said Danika.

“At the moment we do school wear and work wear and I’ve been driving to Tumut twice a week as they have embroidery services, but we have none in Gundagai.”

“We have done our first project today, and we will be doing absolutely all types of embroidery,” said Danika.

Danika said business has been going well since she took over ownership in May last year.

“My Pop had the store and then dad had it for 40 years. My background is banking, leadership and finance which is completely different. My best mate owned it for a couple of years and after they moved, we bought it back into the family.”

“It’s really nice, because I am a local, I know my existing customers and I know everyone who walks through the doors, you remember what size shoe they have or what size pants they wear.”“The local support since it’s been back in the Moses name has been phenomenal, I think the town was a bit excited. We’ve got lots of local support including businesses, which we are very grateful for.”

The store is also currently having a massive end of season sale to make room for all the new stock arriving.

“Coming into a change of season all the winter stock is starting to arrive, and it is time to clear out the summer stock, which is the main reason we are having the sale.”

“It’s good to see we’ve got a few travellers back on the road again, and this is the quiet period as everyone is getting over the Christmas period, but it is the travellers who keep us going during these quiet periods,” Danika said.

“The next best thing for us is the cold snap, the change in weather will bring customers back into the store. When people realise they need some warm clothes or winter school uniforms,” Danika said.

The sale will run until the end of the month. Moeys is open Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5pm, 8.30-12pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays.
